Emerald is the birthstone for the month of May. In 1914, in his work, The Book of Talisman, the author mentioned about the emerald: “If worn as a ring, the emerald strengthens the memory and protects against dizziness and vertigo. ". It was also supposed to protect navigators and fishermen against the dangers of the sea if “it was hung around the neck so as to fall on the chest”.
